Tokyo, Japan – August 2, 2024 – JSR Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO and President: Eric Johnson; hereinafter "JSR") is pleased to announce the successful completion of its acquisition of all outstanding shares of Yamanaka Hutech Corporation (hereinafter "YHC"), a reputed manufacturer and supplier of high-purity chemicals used in the semiconductor industry. The transaction, which makes YHC a wholly-owned subsidiary of JSR, was finalized as scheduled on August 1st, 2024.

With this strategic incorporation of YHC enables JSR to diversify and enrich its product lineup, notably within the realm of semiconductor film-forming technologies, while continue its transformation to maximize value for customers. The acquisition constitutes a step forward in JSR's growth strategy, which anticipates industry reorganization and aims to solidify its standing in the advanced semiconductor materials by responding to customer demands in the advanced semiconductor materials field.
